Historic Detached Cottage, On The Bank of The River Severn Nr Upton & Malvern
Stunning rural location. Sleeps 6-7, ideal for fishing, birdwatching and boating
Approached by a narrow, short lane, beautiful Bank Cottage is but 20 metres from the river Severn. There are spectacular views to be seen across the river and the flood plain opposite, particularly from the patio, lounge and front facing rooms. It's like looking at your own personal Constable picture! Peace and tranquillity.
The cottage is 250 years old, and formally used by the local Ferryman. A number of original features have been kept, adding to it's charm. These include exposed oak beams, old style doors with lift-up latches upstairs, and a small Inglenook with a log burner in the cosy 2nd lounge at the back of the house.
The garden runs parallel to the river, providing 70 metres of fishing and mooring rights. A new jetty has recently been constructed with safe access down to the water's edge. Bring your own canoe or small boat!
